Workshop description

Computation - calculation through algorithmisation - is the prerequisite for computer networks to function and data to flow. But computation is also a set of relationships that does more than classify and formalise, calculate and then process. Its effects can be seen today in digital infrastructures, social media platforms and programme networks with artificial intelligence, where asymmetrical power relations are emerging along classifying, racialising and gendering axes of inequality.
